We have so many exciting things going on this Holiday Season and we need your help to make sure some Kids

"believe" .   I  don't know what it is about me and Christmas but I love the miracle of  giving. My Parents still tell Stories about when I got presents as a  little girl. Starting as early as age 5 ~ I would have them donate to  sick Children at St . Vincents Hospital. Ever since then Christmas has  become that way for me . Its that way for Alex as well. Every year we  get a car donated and we have someone dress as Santa and make sure he  appears in the lives of kids who dont get to see him. I have mixed  feelings about Jolly Old St Nick. I love to watch my sons face when he  wakes up on Christmas and I love his preparations but Ive always  wondered if kids who cant get toys feel as if they have been bad.  One  year, While Volunteering at New York Cares, I was only 19 years old, We  got a letter from a little girl who said all she wanted for Christmas  was a home. No one wanted to take that letter but I did. Right to the  office of the public advocate Mark Green. With the help of his assistant  Julie Levine, this little girl and her family got a home. There is no  stopping me when it comes to Christmas and its magic!!!

So this year.....

StandUp  For Kids New York is working on a very special Christmas. Our Homeless  Teens will be collecting toys to donate to younger homeless kids.  Standup For kids has shown our teens what its like to receive, now we  want to show them the gift of giving. We need toys, toys, toys!!!!  Please contact us and let us know if you can help in this very magical  event.

This  is an especially important event for me because I already got my  Christmas gift. A little bit after the New York Cares Event, I started  my own program for kids. I met three very special young ladies. 20 years  have passed but they never left my heart. Magically through our  11/11/11 event, we were reunited. The oldest Sister, Elizabeth Torres,  is hosting an amazing event. So what better way than to make Christmas  magic? Our Kids helping to make Miracles for The kids Elizabeth is  trying to help.

THIS  HOLIDAY SEASON COME BE A PART OF AN AMAZING XMAS EVENT. . HELD BY ME N  FRIENDS.. THIS YRS EVENT THEME IS "SANTAS WORK SHOP"!!!! THE EVENING  WILL BE FILLED WITH SPONSORS, PHOTOGRAPHERS,MEDIA,& ENTERTAINMENT!  !! CHILDREN WILL BE MAKING THEIR OWN TOYS,INVOLVED IN ARTS AND CRAFTS, N  MUCH MUCH MORE!!! THE ADMISSION TO THIS EVENT IS A TOY OR COAT DONATION  !!! THE BEST PART IS.. ITS ALL FOR A GOOD CAUSE...ALL  DONATIONS WILL BE DONATED TO HOMELESS CHILDREN!!! IM VERY EXCITED ABOUT  THE EVENT N VERY GRATEFUL TO ALL THE PPL WHO ARE INVOLVED.. Also,  Nov 20th in Union Square we will be selling books, Commemorative   ornaments, Christmas Cards. and Candy to benefit outreach with Partial  proceeds to the toy drive.
